Jharkhand TET Exam 2019 Introduction

Jharkhand Academic Council conducts the Teacher Eligibility Test for the state of Jharkhand. Qualifying the Test is mandatory for those who are willing to pursue their career as a teacher. The Exam is conducted for two different levels i.e. Primary level, (class 1st to 5th) and Upper Primary Level (class 6th to 8th). Depending on the required educational qualification, lakhs of candidates appear for the TET Exam for both levels.

Jharkhand TET Exam 2019 Notification

Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi will release the official notification for Jharkhand TET 2019. The notification is expected to be released in the second half of the year. The notification will carry all the required details of the exam. The link to download official notification would be available on safalta education portal as well, for the convenience of students.

Jharkhand TET Exam Pattern 2019

The Jharkhand TET Exam is conducted for both Primary and Upper Primary Level. Detailed exam pattern is mentioned below:
Primary Level Exam: 150 questions are asked in the test with 150 maximum marks. Total time allowed to complete the test is 90 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria Jharkhand TET Exam 2019

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the Jharkhand TET Exam 2019.
Educational Qualification:

For Primary Level (Class I-V)

  • Candidates must have passed in 10+2 at least with 45% marks.
  • Candidates who have the degree of B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Ed. with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Candidates who are appearing in diploma course of Elementary Education are also eligible to apply for Jharkhand TET 2018.

For Upper Primary Level (Class VI-VII)

  • Candidates must be B.A/ B.Sc. and pursuing in final year 2-year diploma at least with 45% marks are eligible to apply for TET.
  • Senior Secondary/ B.Ed. with a minimum of 50 % marks or pursuing in final year 4-year Bachelors in Elementary Education

How to Apply Jharkhand TET Exam 2019

The candidates are required to apply online for the TET Exam 2019. Below mentioned steps should be followed to apply for the Jharkhand TET Exam 2019.

  3. Fill all of your details in the application form.
  4. Upload your scanned photograph and signature.

Admit Card Jharkhand TET Exam 2019

The Admit Card for Jharkhand TET Exam 2019 will be released online only. It can be downloaded from the official website with registration number and date of birth. All important details regarding the exam will be mentioned on the Admit Card itself.

Cutoff Jharkhand TET Exam 2019

This is a qualifying nature exam. Candidates need to score more than 60% marks in the exam to qualify.

Result Jharkhand TET Exam 2019

The Jharkhand Academic Council will release the JAC TET 2019 Exam Result in pdf format on its official website. The result will be declared on the website one month after the commencement of written exam.   • What is the essential qualification for the JTET Exam?

The eligible candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50 % for Paper 1 and Graduation with 50 per cent along with a relevant degree or diploma in Elementary Education.

The candidates should be a minimum of 18 years to apply for JTET.

  • What is the age relaxation for SC/ST candidates  JTET Exam?

There are no age relaxations mentioned in the notification.

  • What is the Application fee JTET Exam?

The General and OBC Candidates applying for Paper I would pay Rs 500 for Paper I and Rs 1000 for Both Papers. The candidates belonging to reserved category SC/ST need to pay Rs 250 for Paper 1 and Rs 250 for both the papers. 

  • When will admit card be released for the JTET Exam?

The online admit card of JTET can be downloaded 15 to 20 days before the exam date.

The candidates would be selected on the basis of performance in written examination.
